Flash Pack: Reconnecting America
As the 2024 U.S. election approached, division and polarization gripped the nation. With 73% of Americans feeling anxious about the political climate and loneliness affecting one in two adults, Flash Pack set out to change the narrative.
Enter The Friendship Bus—a bold, cross-country campaign designed to spark meaningful conversations, bridge divides, and remind people of the power of human connection.
More Than a Bus—A Symbol of Unity
Flash Pack’s mission is to spark a million new friendships, and The Friendship Bus was at the heart of this effort. But it needed to be more than just a vehicle—it had to be a symbol of hope and togetherness.
Traditional electoral maps highlight division—red vs. blue. But in reality, no state is purely one or the other; they all exist in shades of purple. Inspired by this, we designed the bus to reflect unity, blending colors to visually reinforce its powerful message.
A Movement That Captured the World’s Attention
As The Friendship Bus traveled across the U.S., it became more than a campaign—it became a movement. It brought people together, sparked real conversations, and proved that despite differences, connection is still possible.
The initiative gained global media attention, with features in The Daily Mail, NBC 7 News, and beyond, amplifying its message far beyond the roads it traveled.
Designing Experiences That Brought People Together
Beyond the bus, we created interactive elements to deepen engagement:
Handheld placards for self-expression, allowing attendees to amplify the campaign’s message.
A custom deck of playing cards, designed to spark meaningful conversations and friendships.
Friendship Has No Borders
In a time of division, The Friendship Bus proved that human connection still matters. It’s a reminder that, no matter our differences, we can find common ground—one conversation at a time.
