Chances are you’ve heard of Lewis Capaldi. Either because of his fast wit and loveable personality, or for his song breakthrough single ‘Someone You Loved’ which charted in 29 countries and remained at number 1 in the UK singles chart for seven weeks. Or perhaps you know the lead single ‘Forget Me’ from his second album.

Breaking out and then continuing to stand out in a crowd with such expectation after a hit single needs considered marketing. Is Lewis Capaldi a one hit wonder? After such a hugely successful debut, will the follow up be as good? Shall we believe the hype? What makes this artist different from the next singer songwriter?

We worked with Lewis & EMI across his first and second album to overcome these challenges with creative solutions.

Working with Lewis and his team from the first massive number one album ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’ all the way through to his newest album ‘Broken by Desire to Be Heavenly Sent’ we have delved into all areas. Sharing stand-out creative are something that Team Lewis and Team RETOLD had in common, so the focus has always been on telling the story differently. One of the ways we did this was with impactful billboards, namely - Lewis in his undies, posing next to an extract from  his own lyric. This striking and comedic approach proved successful and put the focus on his personality, as well as the serious side of his music.

In parallel to the OOH campaigns, we created and edited over 50 full length videos, social content, and the packaging design for Lewis’ pizza line - THE BIG SEXY PIZZAS.

During our time working together with Lewis Capaldi and EMI Records, we have achieved 4 x number 1 singles, a number 1 album, over a billion streams, 2 sold out headline tours and viral creative campaigns. MORE STATS?
